free concert events, new art show and Nationwide Evening Out occasion

Arlington has a busy calendar this weekend, with totally free live shows, a Countrywide Night time Out kickoff get together and a new artwork show that explores race and id.

Here’s a round-up of what is coming up:

What: A new art show, “30 Individuals,” explores issues of race and identification by works of some of the country’s most influential Black artists of the earlier 3 decades. The show is on bank loan from the Rubell Museum in Miami.

When: 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday via Saturday and 1-5 p.m. Sunday.

In which: Arlington Museum of Artwork, 201 W. Major St.

Cost: Admission is $10 for grownups, $5 for seniors 55 and older, $5 for college students with young children and military services users admitted free of charge.

What: The town will host the Nationwide Night Out Kickoff occasion with carnival game titles, prizes and a lot more. Law enforcement officers, code compliance officers and other metropolis officers will be on hand. National Evening Out is a group-building campaign that encourages law enforcement-neighborhood partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie.

What: Arlington’s Levitt Pavilion will host outdoor concerts all weekend. Friday night time will attribute Carolyn Wonderland, who will supply some Texas blues. On Saturday night, Giovannie & The Hired Guns will just take the stage. And on Sunday, Dallas’ Atlantis Aquarius will accomplish what it calls psychedelia Southern rock.
